Convert a Story to Moments

Convert a Story to Moments in CMS.

Convert vertical 9:16 Stories to Moments directly in the CMS. You can select to convert all or some of the content.

After conversion, complete the post-production settings in CMS as outlined in the procedure that follows, and finally set the status to Active. You can set status manually, or automatically by game event, fixed time, or delay. See Automatic event-based activation.

The convert Story option is available on request from your WSC Sports account team.

Convert a Story to Moments

To convert a Story:

1. In CMS, go to the Stories tab.
2. Select a Story.
3. Click ... (options) > Add as Moments.
4. Select All pages or Selected pages.
5. [Optional] Select any of the following:
   1. Include all scheduled labels.
   2. Include geo-targets.
6. Click Create.
   The Moments are created.
7. After creating the Moments, complete the following post-production settings:
   1. Title: The title is copied from the Story. You may need to adjust it for a Moment.
   2. Description: Descriptions aren't copied. Add or edit the description as needed.
   3. Poster:
      • The poster is auto-generated from the Story page.
      • Review the portrait and circle crops to ensure important visuals are not cut off.
      • Animated portraits are not generated automatically.
   4. Labels and geo targeting: If you didn't copy them from the source, you need to set them now.
8. Review the content and ensure that all settings, including post-production settings, are complete.
9. Set status to Active.

Traits and limitations

• Only 9:16 Stories are eligible. For mixed aspect Stories (16:9 and 9:16), only 9:16 pages are copied. For 16:9-only Stories, the Add as Moments action isn't available.
• Graphics slides and pages with interactions (polls/quizzes) are shown as non-selectable and are excluded from conversion.
