GAM mobile custom native

Set up Google Ad Manager (GAM) so the Experiences SDK can serve GAM custom native ads built from the WSC Sports native template.

To set up GAM custom native ads:

  1. Download the template files for your placement type:

  2. Navigate to https://admanager.google.com and log in.

  3. In Google Ad Manager, go to Delivery > Creatives.

  4. In the Creatives templates tab, click New creative template.

  5. Click Import. The import dialog displays.

  6. Click Browse, then select the template file you previously downloaded.

  7. If you are importing templates for Stories, click Import again to import the second template file.

  8. Click Submit.

  9. Go to Creative

  10. In the Display creatives tab, click New creative.

  11. Select the creative you added in an earlier step.

  12. Complete the New creative form. Use the table that follows as a guide.

  13. Create an ad unit for the ads. Set the size to 1x1.

  14. Open Line items and create a line item. Choose a display line item type.

  15. Set Expected creatives for the line item to 1x1.

  16. To add the 16:9 desktop setup: in the Expected creatives section, click Add size.

  17. Set the creative size to the required 16:9 creative size.

  18. In the same Expected Creative row, click the Creative targeting dropdown.

  19. Click Add new.

  20. Name the creative targeting preset Web.

  21. In the creative targeting window, click Device category.

  22. Select Desktop.

  23. Save the creative targeting preset.

  24. Confirm the Expected Creative row includes the 16:9 creative size and the Web creative targeting preset.

  25. In the line item inventory, add the ad unit you created in the previous step.

  26. After creating the line item, attach the creative you set up earlier.

  27. Create a mobile application tag for the ad unit you’ll use with the SDK.

  28. After you’ve created all relevant properties in GAM, add the unit path:

    1. In GAM, go to Inventory > Ad Units.
    2. Click the Stories or Moments ad unit you created.
    3. Select Tags, then choose Mobile Application Tag.
