SDK version support policy
Use this policy to know how WSC Sports support works for the Experiences SDK, including:
- Which Experiences SDK versions are supported
- When you must update the SDK
- When WSC Sports support will ask for an upgrade before full troubleshooting
Responsibility model
The Experiences solution has two parts:
- Platform environment (managed by WSC Sports): Service-side capabilities managed by WSC Sports as part of Arena services
- Experiences SDK integration (managed by you): Experiences SDK version adopted in your app, including your app release process
The support windows in this policy apply to the Experiences SDK adopted in your app.
Required SDK update timelines
After an Experiences SDK update is released, you are expected to adopt it within the required timeline shown in the table.
| Update type | What it means for you | Required implementation window |
|---|---|---|
| Minor update | You need to adopt the SDK version. In most cases, no app-level changes are required | Within 30 days of release |
| Major update | May require development work in your app, changes, or custom adjustments | Within 90 days of release |
| Critical update | Critical to SDK functionality or security and must be adopted | Immediately, and no later than 10 business days |
If updates aren’t implemented on time, some features may stop working as expected, and WSC Sports support may be limited.
Support status by SDK version
Supported
If your SDK version is in the required implementation window:
- WSC Sports support investigates the issue
- WSC Sports support provides troubleshooting help and bug analysis
Outside the support window
To provide you with the best possible support, we require apps to stay within our supported SDK window. In case your version is a bit behind, we'll need to prioritize an upgrade before we can dive into a full investigation of any issues.
- Custom guidance: The support team will reach out with a specific target version and help you define a clear roadmap for your upgrade.
- Limited support: While the upgrade is in progress, we'll still provide "best-effort" help for urgent issues, but full technical investigations will be on hold.
- Safety first: Moving to a supported version ensures you have all the latest fixes and features, which often solves the very issues you're seeing.
